Nice to meet you - I'm Leanne owner of The Skin Studio
My journey into professional skincare started the same way many of my clients' stories begin — from frustration. Around seven years ago I was dealing with constant breakouts, persistent sensitivity and stubborn dryness that left my confidence at an all-time low. I tried everything I could find: serums, quick-fix patches, the viral products promising overnight results. None of it worked. Without knowing better, I later realised I was actually making things worse — repeatedly disrupting my skin barrier chasing solutions that were never right for me.
The turning point came when I decided to stop guessing and start learning properly. I threw myself into understanding the science behind skin — how it actually functions, what it genuinely needs, and why so many well-intentioned products and treatments fail to deliver lasting results. That curiosity took me further than I expected. I went from educating myself on skin science to pursuing formal, accredited professional training — and that changed everything.
I genuinely care about how my clients feel when they leave — not just about their skin, but about how confident and informed they are before and after a treatment. I am naturally honest and realistic. I am not here to overpromise or recommend anything I would not use on my own skin. That is what The Skin Studio is all about.
Qualifications and Accreditation
I hold the following professional qualifications, all awarded by Beauty Training Rooms UK — an accredited training provider recognised by BABTAC (British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology), ABT (Associated Beauty Therapists), and The Guild of Beauty Therapists:
- Independent Beauty Specialist Diploma — Level 2 Skincare and Facial
- Independent Beauty Specialist Diploma — Level 3 Skincare, Facial and Electrotherapy
- Independent Beauty Specialist Diploma — Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy)
- Independent Beauty Specialist Diploma — Skin Peels
Every treatment I offer at The Skin Studio is one I am formally qualified and fully insured to carry out. I would never offer a treatment I am not trained and certified in — and I do not cut corners on the consultation, assessment and aftercare that professional clinical treatment requires.

I do not rush consultations. Before any treatment begins, I take the time to understand your skin — its current condition, your specific concerns, your lifestyle, and what you are realistically hoping to achieve. I will always be completely honest about what a treatment can and cannot do, and I will never recommend something I do not genuinely believe is right for your skin.
Every appointment includes full aftercare advice, tailored specifically to your treatment and your skin type. I care about the results you see at home — not just in the studio. If you have questions between appointments, I am always happy to help.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
The Skin Studio is based in a purpose-built private studio in Arnold, Nottingham — a clean, calm, clinical space designed exclusively for focused, one-to-one skin treatments. It is not a salon, and it is not shared with other clients during your appointment. There is no waiting room noise, no sense of being moved through quickly, and no distractions.
Every appointment is by prior arrangement only. That means I can prepare for your specific skin type and concerns before you arrive, and give you my complete, undivided attention from the initial consultation through to aftercare. That level of focus is something a busy salon environment simply cannot offer — and it is exactly why I set The Skin Studio up this way.
